These membership terms (Terms) apply to your participation in the THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ REWARDS program (THE SMIGGLE CLUB™).
By registering as a member or using your digital THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ REWARDS membership card in store or online, you agree that these Terms apply, including any amendments to these Terms we post on our website.
THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ REWARDS is a customer loyalty program in relation to the brand Smiggle, and is operated in Australia by Smiggle Pty Ltd ACN 100 379 226 and in New Zealand by Smiggle NZ Limited NZBN 9429046357540.
THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ is free to join.
You can join online or in store at Smiggle.
To join, you must provide us information that we need to administer the program, that is, your name, email address and mobile number. If you would like to receive a Birthday Reward, please also provide this information when you sign up.
You must be 16+ years old to join.
On joining, SMIGGLE CLUB™ members are issued with a digital membership card (Membership Card). Membership Cards can be saved in your digital wallet or online account.
To participate in THE SMIGGLE CLUB™, including earning and redeeming SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards, members must:
The three different membership levels of THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ are Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.
All Members will become Level 1 upon enrolling into THE SMIGGLE CLUB™. Members can unlock Level 2 and Level 3 by meeting a minimum Spend (Spend to Next) within a 12-months look-back window.
Level 2 is accessed with a minimum Spend of $200 - $399.99 in the past 12-months.
Level 3 is accessed with a minimum Spend of $400+ in the past 12-months.
Qualifying Spend towards your Level does not include gift card purchases, delivery fees, charity items, or on the redemption of THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards, Birthday Rewards, Welcome Gifts, Anniversary Gifts or Thank You Rewards.
Your qualifying Spend (Spend to Next) is assessed at the end of every transaction to identify if you have met the minimum spend for your next Level. Upon meeting the Level’s minimum spend at the completion of the transaction, you will be upgraded to your new Level. If SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward(s) were earned in a transaction that upgraded you to a new Level, Reward(s) issued are at the value of the Level you were on when you earned the points.
For example, if a Level 1 Member spends $200 and reaches Level 2 after that transaction, as the Member was in Level 1 for that $200 spend, they will earn 200 Points that convert into 2x $5 SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards (being the value of a SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward available to Level 1 Members). After the completion of that transaction, the Member’s spend is assessed and will be then upgraded to Level 2, and any subsequent Rewards earned will be $10 SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards (being the value of a SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward available to Level 2 Members).
Upon reaching Level 2 or Level 3, you will be assigned an Anniversary Date, which is set 12-months from the date you reached Level 2 or Level 3. Level 2 and Level 3 Members will be able to access the benefits of their Level until their Anniversary Date.
On the Anniversary Date, the qualifying Spend (Spend to Retain) over the past 12-months will be calculated.
Level 2 Members with a Spend to Retain of $200 - $399.99 on their Anniversary Date will retain Level 2 Level benefits for the next 12 months.
Level 3 Members with a Spend to Retain of $400+ on their Anniversary Date will retain Level 3 benefits for the next 12 months.
If a Member does not meet the applicable Spend to Next or Spend to Retain amount, they will be downgraded to the Level corresponding to the Member’s spend in the previous 12 months.
For example, if a Level 3 Member's previous 12-month spend is within $200 - $399.99 on their Anniversary Date, they will become a Level 2 Member for the next 12 months; and if a Level 3 or Level 2 Member's previous 12-month spend is less than $200 on their Anniversary Date, they will become a Level 1 Member.
Spend to Next and Spend to Retain is calculated on a rolling 12-month basis, and any eligible transactions made in the past 12-months will count towards your Spend to Next and Spend to Retain. If an eligible transaction occurred more than 12-months ago, it will no longer contribute to your Spend to Next or Spend to Retain.
THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward Points can be earned in store and online at Smiggle.
For every qualifying dollar you spend, you are awarded one point (Point). When awarding Points, we round up your qualifying spend to the nearest whole dollar.
Points are not awarded on gift card purchases, delivery fees, charity items, or on the redemption of THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards, Birthday Rewards, Welcome Gifts, Anniversary Gifts or Thank You Rewards.
Sometimes we will also offer limited time bonus points promotions (Bonus Points). We will communicate the terms of any Bonus Points promotions to you.
Points are reflected in your account after your purchase. If you have any questions or issues relating to your Points balance, please contact our support team by visiting the ‘SM & Contact Us’ section of our website.
Your Points balance is reduced when SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards are issued.
Points expire after 2 years of account inactivity, i.e. if you don’t earn at least one Point in a 2 year period.
Redeeming SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards is easy too.
SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards are redeemable in store and online at Smiggle. SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards are not redeemable for cash.
For every 100 Points you earn, we issue a SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward. The value of the SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward is determined by the Level the Member is at the time of earning the Points.
Level 1 Members will receive a $5 SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward for every 100 Points earned.
Level 2 Members will receive a $10 SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward for every 100 Points earned.
Level 3 Members will receive a $15 SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward for every 100 Points earned.
A minimum spend after any savings and discounts (Minimum Spend) of twice the face value of a SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward applies to redeem a SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward. Minimum spend does not include purchases of gift card purchases, delivery fees, charity items, or on the redemption of THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards, Birthday Rewards, Welcome Gifts, Anniversary Gifts or Thank You Rewards.
For example, to redeem a $10 SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward, the Minimum Spend is $20.
SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards are valid for 60 days from issue.
You can redeem multiple SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards in a single transaction, provided each SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward meets the Minimum Spend. This means, for example, that the redemption of two $5 SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards requires a minimum spend of $20.
A SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward must be fully redeemed in a single transaction, that is, SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards can not be split across more than one purchase.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to offer special or bonus SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards that might be subject to additional terms and conditions.
If you earned Points when making your purchase, these Points will be taken off your Points balance when later returning your goods. For example, if you purchase an item for $25 and an item for $15 you would have earned 40 Points. If you return the $25 item, your Points balance will be reduced by 25 Points and your Spend reduced by $25. If you have already been issued a SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward for the purchase before returning your goods, your Points balance may go into negative.
If you redeemed a SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward when you made your purchase, the total amount you paid for that purchase will have been reduced by the amount of the SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward redeemed, and the refund will be processed based on the amount paid after any SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards were applied. If you used a SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward to purchase multiple items, your SMIGGLE CLUB™ Reward will be split proportionally across the items purchased, and any returns will adjust the value, Spend and Points accordingly.
If you’ve given us your birthday information (month and year), we’ll issue you a $5 Birthday Reward in your birthday month. Members can add up to 3 birthdays per account.
Depending on when you gave us your birthday information, you’ll either receive your $5 Birthday Reward on the first day of your birthday month, or the last day of your birthday month.
For example, if your birthday is 1st January, and you signed up on 31st December, you will receive your $5 Birthday Reward on 1st January.
If your birthday is 1st January, and you signed up on 2nd January, you will receive your $5 Birthday Reward on 31st January. The following year and onwards, you will receive your $5 Birthday Reward on 1st January.
Birthday Rewards have the same validity and redemption conditions as set out in paragraph 7 (Redeeming THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards) above.
Upon reaching Level 2 and Level 3 for the first time, we’ll issue you a free Welcome Gift, which is determined by Level and is at Smiggle’s sole discretion.
Level 2 Members will be able to redeem a Level 2 Free Gift.
Level 3 Members will be able to redeem a Level 3 Free Gift.
Level 1 Members do not receive a Free Gift.
We may change the selection of Free Gifts from time to time.
Welcome Gifts have the same validity and redemption conditions as set out in paragraph 7 (Redeeming THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards) above.
Upon successfully retaining a Level’s minimum spend by your Anniversary Date (see paragraph 5, Membership Levels), we’ll issue you a free Anniversary Gift, which is determined by the Level the Member has reached, as assessed by their annual spend by their Anniversary Date, and is at Smiggle’s sole discretion.
Level 2 Members will be able to redeem a Level 2 Free Gift.
Level 3 Members will be able to redeem a Level 3 Free Gift.
Level 1 Members do not receive a Free Gift.
We may change the selection of Free Gifts from time to time.
Anniversary Gifts have the same validity and redemption conditions as set out in paragraph 7 (Redeeming THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards) above.
Keep your membership information safe. We are not responsible for unused Points or Rewards, misappropriated Membership Cards or any failure to identify yourself when shopping with us.
Membership, Points, Bonus Points, SMIGGLE CLUB™ Rewards, Birthday Rewards, Welcome Gifts and Anniversary Gifts are non-transferable and can’t be shared.
Membership is available for personal, and not business, use.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate a membership for any suspected fraudulent activity, unauthorised sharing, breaches of these Terms or misuse.
We also reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify, suspend or terminate THE SMIGGLE CLUB™ in its entirety. If we do this, we’ll give you at least 30 days notice.
When you interact with us, we collect data. Sometimes you give it to us, for example when you join the program you give us information that we need to administer the program, or when you order a product you tell us where to deliver it. Sometimes we collect it automatically, such as through cookies on our website.
We know how important your personal information is to you and we’re committed to safeguarding it.
